Viva Program
At Mascarenhas Barbosa Roscoe, the social responsibility actions are organized by Viva Program, which aims to raise the awareness of the employees in construction sites and in offices, based on health management solutions and promotion of quality of life for employees, trading partners and society in general.
Some projects are aimed at the internal public, with a focus on education (literacy with Quero Mais (I Want More) Project and health promotion with Vida em Movimento (Life in Movement) Project).
The actions are also extended to the communities in which Mascarenhas operates.
With Mãos à Obra (Get Down to Work) Project, Mascarenhas renovates nurseries, charities, squares and other places. Technical and operational support is also provided through the S.O.S. Project, with the integrated participation of various sectors of MBR.

Support to nurseries, charitable organizations and communities. Its mission is to value life and the commitment to the civil society.
I Want More Project
Literacy and reinforcement schools within the construction sites, with classes taught by teachers hired by MBR
S.O.S Project
Technical and operational support, occasionally granted to nurseries, charitable organizations and communities. Occasional participation of all sectors.
Life in Motion Project
Encourage health promotion through activities related to disease prevention and quality of life in a practical and educational way.
One-off Actions
Carry out numerous actions involving its employees and the communities. Give the importance to health, education, feeding, information, social well-being and quality of life.

Actions are created and implemented through the joining of ideas from different sectors of the company.
Legal Team
Legal support on issues related to the notions of education, co-responsibility of the worker and work organization. It acts directly linked to work safety, with the objective of reducing the number of accidents and, mainly, minor incidents in the works and at the Central Office.
Occupational Medicine
Guarantee the preservation and promotion of health to the workers, evaluating their capacities for certain jobs, emphasizing the occupational risks to which they are exposed.
Social Action
Sector responsible for integrating the team, disseminating and implementing the actions of the Viva Program. It acts directly with support for employees, communities and needy entities so that they can become better people.
Safety at Work and the Environment
Set of fundamental and necessary concepts for the development and application of measures for the safety and health of the employees, encouraging education, expanding the quality, preserving and respecting the environment, inside and outside the workplace.
Company Secretary
Support the dissemination of the Viva Program in all departments of the company, contributing to the personal and professional growth of all employees through a healthy and motivating work environment
Board of Directors
Support and approval of actions and resources for the Viva Program.

PRONAS – Programa Nacional de Apoio à Atenção da Saúde da Pessoa com Deficiência (National Program to Support Health Care for Persons with Disabilities)
APAE – Associação de Pais e Amigos dos Excepcionais de Santa Luzia (Association of Parents and Friends of the Exceptional ones of Santa Luzia)
Project: The Project will offer 300 vacancies throughout its execution, aiming to increase the reach of care and treatments related to the health of people with disabilities in the municipality of Santa Luzia through the implementation of services in pediatrics, psychiatry and neurology and dentistry.
ELDERLY SUPPORT
Casa (House) Santa Zita
Created in 1954, it is a long-term institution that was born to welcome elderly women, ex-domestic servants who came (when adolescent) from the countryside of Minas Gerais to work and who, when they reached old age, faced negatively with retirement and soon found themselves helpless, homeless and without ties or contact with their families.
Project: Improve the care offered to the 25 elderly residents of Casa Santa Zita, expanding the services in the areas of physiotherapy, nutrition and occupational therapy, in addition to the continuity of psychosocial and nursing services and improvement of the physical space for their humanization and comfort.
SPORT INCENTIVE LAW
Open Heart (De Peito Aberto) – Sport in the City
Open Heart Incentive to Sport, Culture and Leisure is a non-profit civil society organization of public interest that was created in 2006 with the aim of contributing to sport, education, health and culture, promoting the integration of public and private institutions, conceptualizing new ideas and establishing professional relationships.
Project: Sports initiation activities will be carried out in order to provide socio-educational transformation through Sport and leisure in the North and Northeast regions, taking Sport to places where quality sport has not arrived yet.
CULTURE INCENTIVE LAW
Citizen Body (Corpo Cidadão)
Citizen Body is a non-profit organization created by Grupo Corpo, one of the country’s most respected dance companies. Founded on February 8, 2000, the NGO promotes actions aimed at human development in low-income communities, offering the opportunity for children, adolescents and young people in the metropolitan region of Belo Horizonte to overcome cultural, social and economic barriers.
Project: The project aims to produce a show with contemporary dance performances and a visual arts show in December 2020, involving children, adolescents and young people (of low-income families) from 6 to 26 years old, from the communities of Belo Horizonte and from its metropolitan region.
PRONON – Programa Nacional de Apoio à Atenção Oncológica (National Oncology Care Support Program)
Mário Pena Institute
Mário Pena Institute is an institution that, for over 45 years, has dedicated itself in the broadest sense of the word to teaching, research, prevention and treatment of cancer.
Project: Implementation of a biobank and development of a panel of liquid biopsy biomarkers for precision oncology of ovarian and breast cancer.
FIA – Fundo da Infância e Adolescência (Childhood and Adolescence Fund)
Support House for Children in need of Contagem
The Support House for Children in Need of Contagem is a private law non-profit association with a philanthropic nature. It began its activities in 1993, in the central region of Contagem, with children and adolescents who lived on the streets at social and personal risk. They are exploited in begging, child labor and drug use and exposed to physical, psychological and sexual violence, consequently ending their lives in crime and often dying early
Project: The Citizenship in Focus project aims to continue and expand the various workshops held at the units, due to the demand in these communities. Various sporting, artistic, cultural and educational workshops will be held for 600 children and adolescents aged from 4 to 17 years old, in the communities the project is being carried out where there are several social vulnerabilities.
